How I repaired a counter top jig after I damaged it with the router. Video Clips. Duration : 8.87 Mins.

This video will only be of interest to anyone who has damaged their worktop jig. I borrowed a work top jig and router and the very first time I used it I didn't let the router come to a complete stop before lifting it off and I cut a small lump out of the jig!!! I did this despite having used a router for many years and you can't imagine how embarrassed I was as an engineer to have to admit to wrecking a ~ £100 (7) jig that had only been used a couple of times. You'll be pleased to know that I brought the guy a new jig and cutter and I kept the damaged jig for my own use but before I could use it I had to repair it. This is how I fixed the jig. There are some very good videos on kitchen fitting on YouTube with a load of very helpful tips, this video, I hope you'll never need but it may help you if you get it wrong. Work safely, I wrecked the jig in a fraction of a second by simply not thinking about what I was doing, the router would also easily take a finger off in a fraction of a second. Stay safe. Kind Regards ... Andy
