IMPORTANT NOTE: After a great comment from hellish200808 - we were reminded to advise everyone to install or change a pressurized bulb (including fluorescent bulbs) with EYE PROTECTION! This video does not show that - but should have!!! It can seem impossible to get fluorescent bulbs into the tight recessed fixture space without a lot of frustration. Bobby Gregory demonstrates how to use the "secret grooves and installation holes" known to professional installers. Once you know the secret you can get the fluorescent lights into the fixture quickly! Recessed lights don't allow you to install the bulbs from the side, unlike non-recessed fluorescent fixtures - making changing bulbs in recessed fixtures appear much more difficult. Recessed fluorescent fixtures are found in rooms or offices with suspended ceilings. This video will only be of interest to anyone who has damaged their worktop jig. I borrowed a work top jig and router and the very first time I used it I didn't let the router come to a complete stop before lifting it off and I cut a small lump out of the jig!!! I did this despite having used a router for many years and you can't imagine how embarrassed I was as an engineer to have to admit to wrecking a ~ £100 (7) jig that had only been used a couple of times. You'll be pleased to know that I brought the guy a new jig and cutter and I kept the damaged jig for my own use but before I could use it I had to repair it. This is how I fixed the jig. There are some very good videos on kitchen fitting on YouTube with a load of very helpful tips, this video, I hope you'll never need but it may help you if you get it wrong. Work safely, I wrecked the jig in a fraction of a second by simply not thinking about what I was doing, the router would also easily take a finger off in a fraction of a second. Stay safe.
